„Gamble“ with its multitude of heads shows a self-confident woman with her colorful veils/enshrouded in her colorful veils which connect the different elements of the picture in a mysterious way.
The left part of the picture shows a headless man holding a few cards in his hands, while others are lying on the table which constitutes the central point/the focus of the picture.
At second glance, one will discover that there is more in his pictures and one rethinks one’s first impression: has the artist fooled us by playing with our visual perception?
